What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process claims for various medical services, ensuring accurate billing and coding
- Review medical documentation for compliance with coding guidelines and billing accuracy
- Prepare claims with necessary fields, linking authorizations and coding blood work
- Provide feedback to office managers and physicians on clinical documentation
- Manage claims for auditing purposes and communicate updates to relevant staff
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have CPC or equivalent certification
- Extensive knowledge of patient registration, coding, billing, and regulatory requirements
- Certified coder AAPC or AHIMA
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience collaborating with a remote team
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and Office products
- Target-oriented mindset with a focus on coding team resolution
