Job Description

- System set up of collateral records and ticklers
- Lien Perfection of titles, UCC’s, Mortgages and any other collateral taken
- Clearing of Loan Exceptions
- File loan documents in file room and review collateral documents for completeness prior to sending to jurisdiction for perfection
- Other duties as assigned
- Provide highest level of quality service
- Customer contact with internal and external customers.
- Work closely with all personnel in Loan Operations.
- Be able to make decisions within limits set within the Loan Operations Department.
- Completion of four years of high school or equivalent required.
- Previous loan processing is required, preferably one to two years.
- General banking specific to loan processing is required.
- Requires attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customer, co-workers and management.
- High level of organization and attention to accuracy and detail is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive issues with tact, discretion, and diplomacy.
- Knowledge of Premier Navigator preferred

As a Collateral Specialist, your day will be filled with opportunities to process and set up collateral records, ticklers and clearing of loan exception as well as perfecting the banks collateral position. Banking experience in loan processing is important to function successfully in this position while Stock Yards Bank will provide a professional environment to continually improve the candidate’s skills to further his/her career goals for advancement within the banking profession.

This position requires sitting the majority of the time with limited walking and standing. Some lifting of boxes that will need to be shipped off for retention is required. All work occurs indoors and within regular working hours. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
