      EDF is at the forefront of Britain's net zero journey, and we're looking for talented and ambitious Commercial Managers to join our team.

      Join our expanding teams across Sizewell C (SZC) & Hinkley Point C (HPC) and work on multi-billion pound mega project, that will provide low carbon electricity for millions of homes for decades to come.

      HPC is currently under construction and one of the largest infrastructure projects in Europe, following the success of HPC, SZC is seeking financing with a view to start construction in 2024. Together, alongside our renewables business, both projects will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

      What you’ll be doing…

      • Providing support to the SZC Commercial Management Team and to the Project Manager
      • Assessment and valuation of Contractor’s applications and the processing of payment certificates in accordance with the contractual terms and conditions
      • Administration of the Early Warning process
      • Assessment of daywork records and accounts
      • Review of Contractor deliveries including where appropriate attending valuation and progress review meetings, ensuring contractual deliverables are met
      • Monitor and report on commercial aspects of the contract and/or project flagging issues at the earliest opportunity to the Commercial Manager
      • Provision of advice and information on contract change including proposed scope changes, recommending appropriate action, and producing required documentation
      • Preparation of commercial cost reports and progress measurement
      • Compilation of Supplier Performance and Lessons Learnt Reports
      • Undertake final account reviews, settlements and reconciliations to facilitate project close out
      • Administration of commercial management tools including, but not limited to, CEMAR and SAP


      Who you are…

      You’ll be a Commercial Assistant with good working knowledge of contracts, basic estimating, valuations, cost reporting and financial modelling.


      Having a basic understanding of contract performance measurement, risk management and change and claim management is important.


      Additionally, good negotiating, influencing and communication skills to command professional
      respect at all levels is essential.
