      Our team in Sandbach currently has an opening for a Commercial Assistant

      About the role:

      You will assist and provide administrative support to the Product Manager to deliver the agreed volume and gross margin budgets set for the Inorganics business. To provide direct support to the dedicated water account managers to help deliver the water/ power budget for all Brenntag Essential and Speciality product lines.

      As a commercial Assistant, you will:

      • Check all orders for price and margin on a daily basis
      • Check all invoices. are correct on a daily basis
      • Ensure Price Announcement Notifications (PAN) are circulated to all depots and new prices are input onto internal systems
      • Update all Special Price Agreements (SPA) affected by a price change covering BSP (water treatment/ power customers) and BES products
      • Create new SPA for new business awards. This includes all bulk and packed SPA for water and power customers.
      • Answer and reply to all product quotations from the sales organisation
      • Capture all current costs – product and transport.
      • Follow up responses from customers via the sales organisation and feedback to the Inorganics business
      • Collect and collate all responses from the business to complete tender documents.
      • Work closely with the account managers to ensure tender completion dates are met.
      • Compile and submit tender submission for the business

        Compile all sales data for water and power customers for monthly and quarterly reporting
      • Monitor CRM reports on behalf of the Inorganics business
      • Follow up all enquires or potentials for business growth with account managers
      • Provide customer quotations as appropriate
      • Maintain regular contact with distribution and sales to monitor open enquires and other agreed targets and initiatives
        Work closely with customer service, stock and transport teams within the Inorganics business to ensure supply chain continuity
      • Undertake any reasonable tasks or duties assigned by the appropriate line managers from time to time, related to the effective and efficient performance of the job, and providing they are within the post holders skills and ability.

      The successful candidate will:

      • Administrative experience in a commercially focused business
      • Some ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) experience
      • IT competent, specifically Excel, Word and web-based interfaces
      • Attention to detail. Enjoy repetitive routines and remain focussed.
      • A good commercial understanding of how a business operates
      • Ability to work under pressure
      • Strong motivation to work as part of a team and understand internal objectives
      • Very organised with a structured approach
      • Able to effectively use systems and understand process requirements/implications
      • Business, commercial or chemical discipline preferred.
