We are a diverse, inclusive and innovative group who identify, build and deliver excellent shared services (which everyone can leverage) to enable AstraZeneca to grow and change at speed. We are passionate about simple process – making it easier to get vital repeatable services done – for our patients, for our customers, for our teams.

We focus on providing exceptional value that contributes to our company’s success and future by freeing up the business (our customers) to push the boundaries of science to deliver life-changing medicines for patients. With the accomplishments, commitment and passion that you bring, I’m excited about what we will achieve together towards realizing AstraZeneca’s bold ambition.

This role is responsible for managing the Commercial Data Office’s (CDO) activities relating to a number of service transition initiatives where a new capability is added to the team. The successful candidate will develop a repeatable engagement model for transitions and partner with the relevant business teams to align and execute project plans. They will ensure that at completion a methodology for measuring ongoing service levels is set up for the new capability.

      • Develop & Own the model for ways of working between commercial data office (CDO) and any major change project impacting the commercial data processes or CDO
      • Be the main point of contact between CDO and any “significant change project team” (this can include projects that are lift and shift of existing activities as well as any those that have no incremental CDO FTE increase) – where a specific project lead is not already established within the CDO
      • Work with the CDO teams to create a transition plan, including key deliverables and named resource requirement. Understand capabilities and process ownership within the CDO teams to ensure the right people assigned
      • Feed CDO transition plans and assumptions into the overall project plan, and report to project managers on progress, risks and issues
      • Own a consolidated tracker of all transition projects underway that impact CDO, as well as Risks and Issues relevant to them
      • Where resource is not otherwise available from the CDO review existing SOPs, process flows and other existing documentation from existing process to be transitioned, interpret, and design new versions. For larger projects where resources are available for these tasks, oversee these individuals and make sure they are completed on track. Provide these for review to SME in CDO, and update for review points.
      • Arrange and track progress on handover of the processes and documentation to CDO teams
      • Where projects impact existing standards or processes owned by the CDO ensure that any existing CDO documentation or processes are updated for any impacts, and these are approved by relevant Data Owners
      • Before handover to Business as Usual teams, ensure that a mechanism for service level monitoring is agreed and set up, and point of escalation established. Agree methodology with the business for recharge of any costs associated with the change and new service.
