      Job Purpose

      This role will support Amgen’s leadership and business functions by identifying opportunities and risks to address them to the distributor in South Africa market. It will be responsible for developing approaches to improve productivity and implement comprehensive change strategies to transform an organization and enable it to adapt to business challenges. This role will interact with key leadership and staff in all areas of the company, including internal and external stakeholders. Travel requirements may vary as it depends on specific project assignments.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Enable distributor in new business models and ensuring proper governance

      • Develop long range plans for the entire portfolio

      • Equip distributor with approved promotional materials that aligns with brand strategy of the country

      • Work on business cases, P&L to capture growth opportunities

      • Align with Distributor on pricing and tender strategy

      • Organize kick off meetings, Brand plan meetings, performance reviews, forecasting reviews, Budget meetings and LRS meetings

      • Collaborate with different cross functional teams across MEA region to ensure participation at regional standalone events; and with SA affiliate for distributor teams support (Medical, Access͙, Supply Chain etc.)

      • Collaborate with compliance team to ensure distributor is properly enabled

      • Timely business review meetings with distributors to ensure high level tactics implementation

      • Review annual business plan with distributor

      • Work with MEA leadership team in the identification of improvement opportunities and competitive strategies

      • Translate strategy into challenging actionable objectives to effectively drive project teams

      • Identify and remove barriers by working with internal and external stakeholders

      • Conduct project scoping, execution strategy, process improvement, and change management activities

      • Collaborate with legal team to ensure MDA are amended and updated on timely manner

      Candidate Criteria

      This role will require:

      • Minimum 7 years overall pharma industry experience in marketing & sales

      • Marketing acumen with a solid grasp of marketing strategy, segmentation, brand positioning, tactical plan, product launch excellence and operational experience

      • Ability to translate and communicate complex information and strategy into simple and impactful execution plans

      • Demonstrated strength in analytics to translate data into insights and indicated actions using advanced analytical tools and ability to create performance dashboards for multiple markets

      • Cross-functional collaboration across internal functions, external customers, and partners to implement projects with agility. The ideal candidate will show strong cross-functional leadership project management, a track record for execution, excellent communication skills, and a passion to serve patients in a dynamic environment
