What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage assigned underwriting team, ensuring adherence to corporate and regional guidelines
- Implement effective underwriting practices and strategies to enhance profitability
- Provide guidance on complex accounts and communication strategies to improve agency relationships
- Monitor the performance of underwriters and assist in achieving annual goals
- Develop and maintain agency relationships to foster growth and profitability
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in insurance, business administration, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of six years of commercial lines underwriting experience
- CPCU designation or other underwriting-related designation(s) preferred
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of underwriting and risk analysis
