What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead policy development and regulatory analysis for commercial Earth observation activities
- Support satellite licensing and compliance processes while advising leadership on strategic regulatory issues
- Translate technical capabilities into actionable policy guidance and streamline operations through process improvements
- Conduct impact assessments of emerging technologies and market trends on regulatory frameworks
- Liaise with civil agencies, the DoD, and the Intelligence Community to harmonize policy positions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5+ years of experience in drafting and revising policies and regulatory interpretations for commercial remote sensing activities
- 3+ years of experience in space policy, regulatory affairs, or licensing and compliance
- 3+ years of experience developing Concept of Operations for commercial remote sensing
- 3+ years of experience reviewing and evaluating license applications for compliance with regulatory requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, or Public Policy field
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience coordinating across multiple organizations and managing complex projects
- Strong writing and briefing skills for communicating with executive audiences
