      You will be able to navigate and connect across our organisation to seek out & create opportunities for our products and people. This role will provide you with the opportunity to lead Strategy and Commercial Operations, to play a critical role contributing to a high performing Leadership Team. Providing you with a platform to develop to take on further responsibility across our UK business or within our global organisation.

      This role which will require strong strategic thinking/planning, comfort in detailed operations, and importantly, a passion for improving the way we run our business.

      As a member of our UK Human Health Leadership Team, the Commercial Strategy & Operations Lead will develop and lead a high-performing team of colleagues who collectively will:

      Enable Organisational Compliance

      • Facilitate Organisation Governance and accountability for compliant business practices through chairing the Compliance and Reputation Group.

      • Ensure robust compliance, privacy, risk identification and risk mitigation processes are in place and are regularly audited and improved.

      • Proactively and productively partner with other functions (IT, Procurement, HR, Global Transformation Offices) to design, plan and execute processes in a more integrated manner and, where possible, standardize, automate and/or outsource processes to improve accuracy and / or efficiency.

      Deliver efficient & effective Continuity of Supply

      • Ensure the continuity of supply into and across the UK markets through facilitating the forecast / demand planning process and collaborating with colleagues across the global supply chain.

      • Maintain productive partnerships with our distribution partners including identification of opportunities to improve margins or drive incremental revenues.

      Manage Digital Operation & Systems

      • Manage internal systems and tools (e.g. Veeva) to support the commercial model and look to the future to ensue systems will support future commercial models.

      • Support operating units through the regular provision of market / customer insights.

      Manage Data to Deliver critical Business Insights

      • Curate data and developing analytic approaches focused on driving better business outcomes (ROI) and improved customer engagement.

      • Enable and support the business forecasting process through the annual cycle of forecasting reviews.

      • Oversee the compliant implementation of Market Research to provide insights to inform business strategy and implementation.

      Facilitate the development of UK Strategy & Implementation continuous improvement cycle :

      • Enable the Leadership Team to clearly identify clear strategic investment choices that are understood across the organisation.

      • Oversee Strategy to Implementation facilitating the Quarterly Business cadence to ensure sustained bottom-line business performance through continuous learning and improvement cycle to adapt to changing internal and external dynamics.

      • Convert strategic priorities into well-defined OKRs, ensuring that project plans are efficiently developed, resourced, tracked, and executed.

      • Understand the evolving technology and skillset capability needs across our commercial businesses and subsequently deliver programs / projects to embed prioritized capabilities.

      Skills/Experience Required:

      • Strong commercial experience within the pharmaceutical industry; ideally a good appreciation of the ‘end-to-end’ process of launching, promoting and supplying pharmaceutical products.

      • Track record of developing strategies and subsequently delivering business outcomes in alignment with that strategy.

      • Experience of collaborating across markets/with global; able to build strong professional networks to deliver on joint objectives.

      • Understanding and appreciation for UK pharmaceutical regulations, business processes and maintaining an effective controls environment

      • An enabling leader, authentic, humble and resilient. who can build trusted relationships with peers. Someone who has people management experience and is able to support team members through coaching and mentoring.
