What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support underwriting excellence for the commercial surety team, focusing on account and transactional units
- Contribute to strategy development and execution for the underwriting portfolio
- Act as a technical resource for local teams, providing guidance and support
- Analyze and evaluate new business opportunities for profitability and compliance
- Assist in managing the underwriting portfolio to ensure profitability and quality standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must possess 5+ years of Commercial Surety underwriting experience
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with experience across various customer industries
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Proficiency in underwriting and financial analysis
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- AFSB designation is a plus
- Exposure to credit models such as Moody's RiskCalc & CreditEdge
