      An opportunity is now open for a Commissioning & Start-up Completions Lead. This position is intended to target candidates with field / operations experience and who have a curiosity about a meaningful position within the Commissioning & Start-up (Americas) Team. We support the safe and efficient commissioning and start-up of process gas (SMR, Gasification), NH3 / Urea / Methanol and cryogenic technologies (ASU, Syngas Distillation, Hydrogen Liquefaction). The Commissioning & Start-up (Americas) Team is responsible for all start-up projects in the Americas region and can be involved in certain projects globally, as well as supporting operating facilities where required.

      Responsibilities include:
      • Lead the Commissioning Completions process supporting Commissioning & Start-up Team
      • Assist distributed team in implementing standard processes, training, and updating work instructions
      • Drive the implementation and training of the Commissioning Completions process throughout the project
      • Develop and improve the existing work process for site handover from Commissioning & Start-up Team to Operations / Client
      • Support P&ID systemization prior to commissioning, start-up and handover
      • Work with Project Execution Team to plan and coordinate activities to meet project onstream date and budget
      • Work with Engineering and Digital Technology teams to ensure data flow is appropriate to populate the Completions System
      To compliment field activities, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in commissioning and start-up planning, development of work instructions, P&ID reviews, commissioning walk-down inspections, equipment checklists, plans for cleaning / flushing and run in of equipment, Design Hazard Reviews (Pre-Safety Start-up Reviews), Operational Readiness Inspections and the execution of commissioning & start-up management systems.
      Ideally this position will reside in Allentown, Pennsylvania or Houston, Texas.

      Education / Qualifications:
      • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
      • Minimum 5 years in Engineering or Operations environment
      • Experience in execution of large projects where a completion's system was used
      • Shown experience within projects delivery, relevant working experience in systemization and completions management activities
      • Experience with completions or commissioning tracking tools (GO Completions preferable)
      • Lead by example with regards to following procedures and our highest priority of maintaining personnel safety
      • Strong background in commissioning / start-up planning and engineering / design of industrial gas plants
      • Field construction and commissioning / start-up experience desired
      • Ability to read P&ID’s, isometrics, interpret design curves of field machinery and function testing / validation of field equipment
      • Represent the Commissioning & Start-up (Americas) Team and Air Products in front of our collaborators (Project, Construction, Operations, and our customers)
      • Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
      • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
      • The role will require the individual to mobilize to the project site at the appropriate time to own the commissioning completions system with up t0 50% travel
