      A Commissioning Specialist is the primary Solar field personnel support back to San Diego to during installation and commissioning activities. This includes working to correct the immediate issue to minimize customer impact as well as providing input to San Diego internal business units on product improvement. This position is expected to drive a complete resolution of incoming field issues. Successful candidate will need the following:

      • High sense of urgency to resolve field issues
      • Ability to independently bridge process gaps to drive field resolution
      • Able to clearly define incoming field issues and coordinate solutions/responses across the enterprise
      • Expeditiously drive part replacements and ensure timely site delivery
      • Excellent communication skill and report weekly field issues to large meeting forum
      • Multitasking ability and excellent interpersonal skills while addressing challenging issues
      • Foster collaborative environment between the field and San Diego based business units
      • May attend site Pre-Commissioning or District meetings (domestic and international)

      What You Need to Have:

      Technical Excellence:

      • 3 years of experience related to turbomachinery equipment design, operation, repair, or field support
      • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning platforms (ERP) such as BAAN, LN, Windchill.
      • Previous use of Bills of Materials or Shipping Pack List

      Troubleshooting Technical Problems:

      • Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems remotely

      Top Candidates Will Have:

      Business Acumen:

      • Solar product and system knowledge

      Technical Excellence:

      • Previous experience with Mechanical General Arrangement Drawing, Process & Instrumentation Diagram, or Electrical Wiring Schematics
      • Basic understanding of logistic (INCO Terms)

      Educational Background:

      • Associate / bachelor’s degree in science or Technical Certificate

      This position requires a 5-days in office schedule.

      Summary Pay Range:

      $87,456.00 - $131,184.00

      Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
