Job Description

- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
- Manages the commission reconciliation duties for the division at a policy level
- Researches and resolve commission issues in communication with the carrier
- Becomes intimately familiar with the commission structure for the firm
- Assists in data management and integrity of the division
- Resolves all policy level commission issues where data does not match that of the carriers
- Prepares and maintains appropriate schedules and reports as requested.
- Supports the development and optimization of the firms proprietary revenue tracking system
- Researches accounts payable and accounts receivable issues as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned from time to time by superiors
- Displays a disciplined approach to completing work
- Proven ability to navigate and resolve conflict
- Ability to quickly adapt to new circumstances as they arise
- Adequately manages and tolerates varying levels of stress
- Well organized and can efficiently manage both workload and time
- Strong desire to learn and gain valuable experience in accounting and finance
- Articulate and well-spoken; strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically
- High level of self-motivation; ability to accomplish goals independently
- Insurance knowledge or experience preferred
- 2+ years of experience in revenue operations accounting finance strategy and business operations or similar relevant experience required
- 1+ years of experience working with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets required
- Experience working with cross functional partners preferred
- Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

About the Role
The Commissions Analyst I is part of a top-tier finance accounting and analytics team. This individual should be an expert in process implementation and demonstrate proactiveness critical thinking and a passion for efficiency. The Commissions Analyst I is responsible for all facets of processing commission exceptions recognizing revenue and working with leadership on process efficiency and external carrier relationships.
