Job Summary:
Provides support for Conference Center clients and on-campus events including setup, check-in, assistance with logging in to computers and basic A/V use and troubleshooting. Assists Events and Services Coordinator with handling Conference Center reservations, assisting Conference Center clients on-site, answering email correspondence, invoicing and reporting. Staffs weekend and evening events. Assists with planning and executing university events including OSU-Tulsa Graduation Ceremony. Provides backup for Events and Services Coordinator as needed.
Provides coverage at OSU-Tulsa Information Center as scheduled, including answering phones and assisting students and visitors to campus with directions and other questions. Coordinates with Information Technology and Facilities Management to troubleshoot issues as appropriate. Supports Events and Services Coordinator with University Store, Gift Shop and Marketplace stocking, inventory and sales. Assists visitors with OSU shuttle reservations. Assists with special projects.
Updates web events calendars and digital signage events list. Contributes social media content including photos and videos from events and general coverage of on-campus life. Raises awareness of services available to students, including University Store, Gift Shop, Marketplace and BOB Shuttle.
This position will have scheduled hours between 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Friday with occasional weekend hours, depending on the events schedule. Spanish speaker preferred.Environmental Hazards:
Exposure to a variety of weather conditions for events; otherwise typical office environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.Special Instructions to Applicants

Education & Experience
Position Qualifications:
Required:
-Associate Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Hospitality, or related field or equivalent experience
-One (1) year of relevant work experience.
-Experience providing support for conference center or events; for example, setup and teardown, basic A/V support or event planning and promotion. Data entry and reporting experience using spreadsheet and software such as invoicing or accounting software. Experience writing communications for a business or organization, including emails, letters and reports.
-Customer Service Experience
Preferred:
-Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, Management, Hospitality, or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education
-Experience creating content for a business or organization social media presence.
-Experience at an institution of higher education.
