      Summary of Job Duties:

      The Communication Specialist will manage multiple projects including, but not limited to; writing, editing and producing newsletters, press releases, annual reports, fliers and other forms of communications and leading social media activities for Regional Programs (RP) and the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine (DFPM). The Communication Specialist will facilitate, plan, and communicate with all participating partners (internal and external) involved in the projects, design and implement social media strategies, and facilitate the flow of information between RP/DFPM and the public via various print and social media platforms, ensuring UAMS and grant brand integrity across all communications. He/she may assist in the creation of digital, video, audio, podcast and print materials. He/she will track engagement across various platforms and abide by all regulations set by the UAMS Office of Communications & Marketing. Special projects may arise to meet departmental needs.

      The position will live in the Office of Communications & Marketing and serve Regional Programs and the Department of Family & Preventive Medicine at 100% capacity.


      Qualifications:

      Minimum Qualifications:

      Education, general:

      Baccalaureate Degree in communications, writing, or equivalent required.

      Experience, length in years and kind:

      3 years Communications, Technical Writing, Social Media Management or equivalent required.
