      The purpose of the Corporate and Government Affairs (CGA) function is to promote and protect the reputation of MDLZ in order to:

      • attract and retain top talent
      • secure our license to operate with minimal regulatory disruption
      • drive investor confidence.

      As the Corporate and Government Affairs Communications Manager, this role contributes to that purpose through the planning and execution of creative and engaging internal and external communications, and community engagement campaigns for Australia.

      Although primarily responsible for Australia, all MDLZ CGA team members are expected to think globally and collaborate with colleagues from around the world to share best practice and create campaigns which can be rolled out across multiple markets.

      How you will contribute

      The purpose of this role is to drive internal and external brand communications. In this role, you will plan, execute and integrate a range of communications activities including content development, publishing, measurement and other operations in coordination with other teams and stakeholders both internal and external.

      Internal communications

      • Create and execute the internal communications plan including content creation/case study generation and evaluation aligned to Vision 2030 to ensure Australian colleagues understand the strategy and business performance (includes quarterly ANZ town halls, Yammer, weekly e-news, digital screens, leader announcements, intranet, LinkedIn). Identify new and engaging ways to communicate with our people.
      • Coach leaders and colleagues on effective internal communications
      • Work with Marketing to connect colleagues with our brand launches, milestones and stories.
      • Drive uptake, engagement and recognition through our peer-to-peer recognition program the Bravo Awards
      • Maintain the ANZ intranet to align with and embed the company’s purpose, strategy and engagement objectives.
      • Work with supply chain communications lead to execute corporate news and initiatives into plants.
      • Coordinate contributions to local, regional and global reports.
      • End-to-end management of internal events including agenda, speakers, AV and other facility requirements.

      External communications

      • Support marketing teams to safeguard the rich heritage of our iconic brands and introduce the latest innovations (Note: Brand PR is delivered by marketing, CGA plays a supporting role offering strategic advice and managing interactions with Tier 1 media)
      • Plan and execute brand reputation building content for corporate online channels including the MDLZ corporate external digital/social media channels including website, LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter. Manage marketing leader’s online communications and speech opportunities.
      • Maintain key brand factsheets, b-roll media footage and photo library.
      • Support with asset development for external media opportunities e.g. infographics and video content.
      • Nurture strong relationships with Tier 1 media across Australia
      • Coach and train MDLZ media spokespeople, and manage the press office to ensure timely handling of corporate media enquiries
      • Ensure accurate and timely recording of media activities, in-line with global reporting requirements.
      • Collaborate with HR to build the MDLZ employer brand.
      • Manage agency relationships.

      Our Head office is in Dorcas Street South Melbourne. We are operating under a hybrid and flexible model with an expectation of 2-3 days per week in the office (50%).
