Serve as a strategic business partner and communications counselor to sales leaders, marketing leaders, and Motorola Solutions’ customers
Navigate the business to uncover compelling, newsworthy customer stories that bring to life the impact of Motorola Solutions’ technologies
Develop media strategies and write well-crafted, concise, and highly engaging pitches, press releases, social media posts, and other public-facing materials
Maintain media relationships and pitch national, top-tier, local, tech, and trade outlets
Track customer storytelling opportunities, use cases, and data in a centralized, shared repository
Staff press events and media interviews as appropriate
Represent Global Communications & Media team on Sales leaders’ staff calls
Support Sales leaders in amplifying the reach of media placements with their networks
Bachelor’s degree
6+ years of communications, public relations, and/or media experience preferred
Strategic thinker who can build a network, gather information, and translate complexity into clear, concise content and media strategies that drive awareness and action
Outstanding storyteller with impeccable writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Charismatic communicator who can easily build rapport, adopt a customer’s point of view, and follow through on stated commitments
Savvy media strategist with a track record of engaging and sustaining top-tier national and local reporter relationships
Exhibits a polished executive presence with strong judgment
Demonstrates the ability to coach others, exert influence, and build consensus
Detailed project manager who can lead complex workstreams with cross-functional contributors, meet tight deadlines. and easily adjust as circumstances change
Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight timelines
Highly self-motivated and results driven

Department Overview
Job DescriptionThis role sits within Motorola Solutions’ Global Communication & Media team and will drive media relations initiatives in support of key sales priorities. The role will champion customer storytelling externally, working across the organization to uncover the best customer stories, develop media strategies and materials and serve as a key liaison to customers on press topics. The position will work to favorably position Motorola Solutions’ technologies, leaders, and support of its customers in the press around timely, newsworthy topics.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a track record of strong journalist relationships, customer storytelling successes and a deep understanding of the technology and/or federal/state/local government sectors. The position reports to the head of Public Safety Communications and supports the North America government sales and marketing organizations.

Target Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 USD
