What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop, write, and edit content such as news releases and articles to promote university programs and achievements
- Oversee and produce internal communications, ensuring consistency and cohesiveness
- Monitor the effectiveness of communication campaigns and initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Respond to media requests for information or interviews and field inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in the communications field
- Demonstrated competency in writing, editing, and proofreading with knowledge of AP style
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and produce high-quality content
- Experience collaborating with professionals to create written content for various audiences
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to manage multiple projects
- Skills in assessing and responding to various issues in a timely manner
- Experience developing original content aligned with university goals
- Familiarity with software platforms common in communications, including CMS
- Competence in composing, shooting, and editing quality photos for content
