What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in ensuring compliance with federal regulations regarding grant funding and financial records
- Monitor and evaluate the activities of subrecipient agencies to ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Draft departmental policies and procedures and assist with required HUD reports
- Provide technical assistance to subrecipient agencies in implementing community development programs
- Analyze socio-economic data to assess community needs and prepare reports for stakeholders
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of two years' experience in grant management, community development, or a financial field
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written methods
- Proficient in utilizing computer applications and techniques necessary for job performance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with federal grant management and grant writing
- Knowledge of community development programs and regulations
- Familiarity with Housing Quality Standards (HQS) inspections
- Experience in providing technical assistance to nonprofit organizations
- Ability to deliver presentations to various stakeholders
