- Registered Midwife
- Evidence of personal and professional development
- Evidence of a leadership/management course or equivalent
- Masters degree/equivalent postgraduate experience
- Relevant and recent experience in Community midwifery services.
- Experience in line management and leadership
- Experience of multidisciplinary working
- Ability to demonstrate involvement and experience in change management
- Ability to address complex issues and evidence of dealing with these in a planned manner
- Experience in budget management
- Evidence of knowledge of current professional perinatal issues
- Understanding of National Maternity and neonatal agendas
- Applicable knowledge of NMC rules that governs effective and safe practice
- Evidence of involvement in audit cycles and review of practice
- Understanding of Perinatal governance processes
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of human factors
- Demonstrates understanding of HR processes relevant to staff management
- Ability to travel across trust sites as required
