What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide assistance to individuals contacting the 211 information and referral line via phone, email, and online chat
- Gather statistics for reporting and assist with activities of the Information and Referral Program
- Utilize questioning skills to determine the needs of individuals who are unsure of what they require
- Liaise between service providers and callers to connect them effectively
- Participate in follow-up contact with callers to ensure quality service and support
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Completion of Grade 12; related post-secondary diploma or relevant coursework in Social Science preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of frontline experience with crisis navigation or similar support roles
- Successful completion and maintenance of a Community Resource Specialist Certificate
- Acceptable Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check and an Intervention Record Check
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in mental health support or community resource navigation
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs
- Training in Indigenous Cultural Awareness, Diversity, and Trauma-Informed Care
