      The primary purpose of this position is to develop policies, provide program management, and oversee compliance and training for the Integrated Primary Prevention Workforce within National Guard Bureau and across the 54 States, Territories, and DC. Serves as the Compliance and Training Analyst for the National Guard, Joint Staff, Warrior and Resilience Division. (WRF), and NGB-J1 Directorate.

      • PCS expenses if authorized will be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations

      • Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
      • May be required to work overtime
      • Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
      • Disclosure of Political Appointments
      • Work requires travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft approximately once a month.
      • Position may perform other related duties as assigned

      Qualifications


      In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions

      SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes providing program leadership and expertise regarding Integrated Primary Prevention Program Management that includes policy, program administration, program evaluation, budgeting and resourcing and operational research and analysis; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships using tact and diplomacy in interacting with program support representatives, and using ingenuity to generate plans of actions and guidelines when deficiencies are identified.

      KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES ( KSAs ): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

      1. Knowledge of assigned areas of responsibility, with emphasis on Integrated Primary Prevention, Compliance, and Training.

      2. Knowledge of and skill in applying the methods and techniques of fact finding, analysis, and resolution of complex problems and the development of concrete action plans to resolve problems.

      3. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing and to establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships.

      4. Knowledge of management and the States missions and objectives; and their implications on the Integrated Primary Prevention Workforce.

      5. Knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices of Integrated Primary Prevention Workforce. Broad understanding of agency objectives missions, and operating programs; and the implications on National Guard Integrated Primary Prevention Workforce.

      6. Knowledge and practical understanding of Integrated Primary Prevention Workforce, human resource, compliance, and training principles, concepts, practices, analytical methods, and wide range of qualitative and quantitative techniques. Knowledge of and ability to apply law, executive orders, regulations, policies, and concepts pertaining to compliance and training.

      PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

      VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
