      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct research on credit balances for insurance and/or patient verification
      - Initiate refund processes to patients or insurance carriers after credit verification
      - Make necessary charge corrections for insurance reprocessing to meet compliance thresholds
      - Correct identified posting errors during credit research or refer them to the appropriate parties
      - Manage and maintain project work lists to ensure completion deadlines are met

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum of five years of experience in medical billing or related physician experience
      - Experience with project-based work assignments
      - Knowledge of credit balance identification for both insurance and patients
      - Familiarity with insurance follow-up, payment posting, and account corrections in an electronic practice management system
      - Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Billing and Coding certificates or equivalent experience
      - Experience with NextGen practice management system
