      Schedule:

      Work will be remote and largely asynchronous. We will have weekly virtual meetings to check in and provide guidance if needed, and otherwise you will be free to work on your own schedule. We will also be available at any time for specific questions via email or Zoom.

      We anticipate that this work will take 4 weeks at 10 hours a week.

      Salary/Wage Range:

      Hourly $40.00 to $60.00

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      We are a UW-based medtech startup looking for an intern/software consultant to assist with a paid, short term software project. The project can be completed in a few weeks, for instance over the Xmas break.

      The project involves 3D registration of medical (MRI and CT) to 2D and 3D optical image data and an augmented reality display.

      Applicants must have experience coding in Python, particularly in optical image analysis and object detection, tracking, and registration. Experience with medical image analysis is a plus.

      Applicants will need to sign an NDA and consulting contract before full details can be shared.

      Qualifications:

      Qualified applicants will have experience coding in Python using computer vision and image manipulation libraries such as Simple ITK, OpenCV, scikit-image, etc. As well as some experience working with virtual or augmented reality displays.

      Competitive applicants will be graduate or late-undergraduate students in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar fields of study.
