NATECH is recruiting for a Computer Systems Analyst to support the FAA National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) program. The Computer Systems Analyst is responsible for technical planning, system hardware-software-network design, development and integration, verification and validation, and fielding. Works independently with minimal supervision. Provides expertise in software requirements analysis, design, design reviews, development, software testing, integration, installation, and maintenance of complex computer systems. Experience with software programming in the languages used for NAS and NAS support systems which may include but not limited to languages such as C, C++, Java, XML and SQL. Provides expertise in the development and improvement of software development processes. Must be familiar with interfacing databases to client-side interfaces. Familiarity with object-oriented programming techniques, client/server development, cross-browser development, and Unix/Linux skills maybe required. May need to work with specialists from other disciplines such as hardware, software, logistic support, and testing to produce fully integrated and responsive components and systems. Interprets and analyzes complex information systems data to develop technical documentation, system diagrams, and presentation materials.
Must be willing to travel and be on call 24x7 for site support. Duties and Responsibilities: - Provide 2nd level engineering support for the Federal NOTAM System (FNS) systems
- Support system development/testing/integration/deployment activities for FNS systems
- Provision, install, configure, monitor and maintain Linux systems hardware and software infrastructure
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware and software upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
- Develop and manage Linux shell scripts to support application software testing and administration
- Able to debug software issues in Linux and Windows environments
- Attend system design reviews; technical interchange meetings; any other meetings as requested to support program and team
- Possess a technical understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA); Java Message Service (JMS); Web Services (NOT Web Page Development); Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) Communication Protocol
- Able to read/decipher/troubleshoot XML files and WSDLs
- Operations and maintaining Websphere installations
- Participate in system test and key site test activities as a tester
Requirements
Required Qualifications: - Requires BS degree and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge and background of Unix/Linux Operating Systems
- Solid understanding of IP network technologies and software tools for performance monitoring and troubleshooting
- Technical understanding of systems, databases, networking, and computing environments
- Experience with server operations, data communications and systems analysis and networks.
- Experience with networking, client server architecture, and enterprise system architecture.
- Experience acting as senior system administrator for Linux/UNIX based systems.
- Experience with troubleshooting network security issues, defining and implementing policies.
- Experience with shell scripting and automation of tasks (ex. Bash, Python)
Desired Qualifications: - Working knowledge of ANCIBLE playbooks
- Working knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) systems
- Working knowledge of VMware virtual environment
- Familiarity of FAA System Wide Information Management (SWIM)
