Job Description

- Provides oversight of all constructability during the design process.
- Coordinates engineering interface with site.
- Develops and maintains Kiewit metrics for: deliverables, cost, schedule, quantity management, and constructability.
- Maintains good client relations while acting as a liaison between project engineering teams and owner.
- Reviews specifications for contract compliance, code compliance, and commercial terms.
- Develops highly integrated construction and engineering schedules.
- Coordinates Subcontractor/Vendor quality and expedites visits with project engineering or Kiewit’s supply team.
- Ensure all Lessons Learned are properly incorporated into design and construction of the project.
- Provides timely and accurate project decisions to engineering staff.
- Acts as the final decision maker between engineering and constructability team.
- Reviews drawings for owner accessibility, maintainability, and Design for Safety execution.
- Coordinates weekly model reviews with constructability team and owner.
- Provides innovative and past knowledge experience in brainstorming sessions.
- Ensures timely review of shop drawings.
- Recognizes scope changes in the Contract and Subcontracts and initiates IDFs.
- Contributes to team effort, frontline leader between design partner and the constructability team.
- 8+ years of construction experience with at least 3 years being in a superintendent/leadership role.
- Experience working on infrastructure projects such as roads, dams, water/wastewater treatment plants, etc.
- Understanding and working knowledge of engineering designs and drawings relating to concrete discipline.
- Previous knowledge/experience in infrastructure and concrete structures setting is required.
- Ability to travel and/or relocate as needed.
- Knowledge of various construction disciplines, union agreements, jurisdictional issues, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings, and other documents.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance.
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.

Position Overview
As a Concrete Construction Lead for Kiewit, you will provide leadership and guidance to the project’s Concrete Discipline Constructability Superintendents. This person will also be responsible for all design, engineering, and procurement activities relating to their specialty discipline on the project.

Kiewit's Water Facilities South group is one of Kiewit's leading water/wastewater districts specializing in constructing water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, and desalination plants. Although we are headquartered in Westlake, TX (DFW area), with regional offices in Miami FL and Atlanta GA, we also pursue various projects stretching across the country. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about infrastructure and committed to the construction industry as opposed to design.
