      As a Configuration Management Specialist with the Program, Planning and Control Directorate, Moon to Mars Program Office, you will be responsible for policies, procedures, and operations for configuration management for the Program. You will lead a team of specialists ensuring the control of the configuration baseline, control of changes, integrity, and traceability of the configuration throughout the lifecycle, performing verifications and audits and supporting configuration activities.

      Duties


      • Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
      • Serve as the Lead for Configuration Management and Data Management (CM/DM) for the Moon to Mars Program (M2M) Enterprise within the Program, Planning and Control Directorate (PPC).
      • Manage configuration management services, ensuring the control of the configuration baseline, control of changes, integrity, and traceability of the configuration throughout the lifecycle; perform configuration verifications and audits.
      • Implement a Configuration and Data Management Plan appropriately customized for the Program.
      • Lead a team of configuration/data management specialists and support to ensure high-quality deliverable with management oversight.
      • Manage an enterprise solution for a repository for the storage and authoritative distribution of the program and project’s technical data.
      • Create a community of practice to look at cross program actions, issues and enterprise solutions and idea sharing using ideas to be more efficient with better products.
      • Maintain close contact with PPC Operations Lead, M2M’s Integration Offices, the Program Offices, and all levels of management to communicate configuration/data management requirements, status, and issues.
      • Identify, classify, archive, preserve, and destroy, when appropriate, the subset of information that comprises Program records, in accordance with NPR 1441.1, Records Management Requirements.

      Qualifications


      Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

      To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level:
      • Supporting or implementing configuration management plans, processes and standards ensuring compliance with requirements;
      • Supporting an enterprise solution for a repository storage and distribution and tracking of changes of program documentation;
      • Developing a Configuration and Data Management Plan appropriately customized for the Program.

      To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level:
      • Providing oversight of configuration management plans, processes and standards ensuring compliance with requirements;
      • Managing an enterprise solution for a repository storage and distribution and tracking of changes of program documentation;
      • Leading a team of configuration management specialist, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
