What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide construction management services for projects with the NYC School Construction Authority across the five boroughs
- Oversee all aspects of construction projects including stakeholder coordination, site inspections, and project tracking
- Manage contractor payments and maintain project schedules to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery
- Conduct material take-offs and create detailed construction estimates and proposals
- Identify and address issues impacting project quality and compliance throughout the construction process
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction procurement, management, or general contracting
- Strong knowledge of NYC regulatory agency requirements for project filing and inspections
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Project, and Acrobat Reader
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with mechanical systems, electrical systems, and fire alarm systems
- Familiarity with Job Order Contracting and public procurement methods
- Previous experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective teams
