What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee the planning, budgeting, and execution of campus construction projects
- Develop and manage cost estimates, schedules, and procurement plans for construction projects
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to review plans and project scopes
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and enforce quality control
- Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in higher education, healthcare, or commercial real estate
- Strong experience in hiring, negotiating, and managing relationships with general contractors, architects, engineers, and specialty consultants
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership and facilities teams
- Proven track record of managing and delivering projects on time and within budget
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience managing tenant improvements (TIs), ground-up construction, and renovations in an educational or healthcare setting
