      Purpose of Position:

      To provide a diagnostic anatomical pathology / histopathology consultative service to referring clinicians. Assist in the management and supervision of the daily activities of the anatomical pathology laboratories.

      Requirements:

      FC Path(SA), HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field, MBChB, M Med (Pathology)

      Required Experience:

      Key Responsibilities:

      Advise Clients on life threatening results, Continuous Education for Pathology laboratories, Maintain client relations to promote the image of Ampath, Marketing, Oversee the standard of the work performed, overall operation and administration in the laboratory, Promotion of Professional Standards and Expertise, Provision of Continuous Pathology/Clinical Laboratory Service: Consultation with doctors, Control and monitoring of results, Result verification, Reporting, Participation in Peer Group, Sign-out all abnormal results according to criteria
