What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure proper registration of patients across all service lines, including eligibility verification and obtaining pre-certifications or authorizations
- Maintain effective communication with clinical partners to enhance patient access and service quality
- Provide timely coverage of assigned work areas to ensure prompt patient service
- Perform insurance verification and authorization by contacting insurance companies and verifying coverage
- Register patients by collecting critical demographic information and confirming insurance details
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong time management skills and the ability to maintain attendance and punctuality
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients and clinical staff
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- One year of direct Patient Access experience
- Prior collections experience in a healthcare context
- One year of customer service experience
- Associate's degree in a relevant field
