What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure patients are appropriately registered for all service lines and perform eligibility verification
- Maintain close working relationships with clinical partners to facilitate open communication across departments
- Provide timely and continual coverage of assigned work areas to enhance patient service
- Contact insurance companies to verify eligibility and benefits, and communicate coverage information to patients
- Register patients for various services while ensuring accuracy in demographic details
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with clinical staff
- Ability to maintain schedule flexibility to meet department needs
- Effective time management skills to monitor attendance and limit unauthorized overtime
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in Oncology and/or Infusions
- One year of prior collections experience
- One year of customer service experience
- One year of direct Patient Access experience
- Associate's degree
