What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure patients are appropriately registered for all service lines and perform eligibility verification
- Maintain close communication with clinical partners to enhance patient experience
- Provide timely and continual coverage of assigned work area for prompt patient service
- Contact insurance companies to obtain and verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Register patients for all services and confirm critical demographic details
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant healthcare experience
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Working knowledge of Microsoft programs and familiarity with database programs
- Ability to adapt in an ever-changing healthcare environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior collections experience
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- 1+ years of direct patient access experience
- Mature judgment in dealing with patients, physicians, and insurance representatives
- Associate's degree
