      Overview

      Compensation: $18-$24 per hour based on credentials

      Location Type: Hybrid

      Position Type: Full Time

      Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

      Communicates with members and front line staff on all aspects of consumer loan requests received to the credit union by various channels with a focus on member experience and service.


      Responsibilities

      • Communicates consumer loan decisions to members, as documented by loan analysts, based on application parameters and offers any potential cross-sold loan opportunities to members that have been reviewed and approved.
      • Presents cross-sold products to members providing features and benefits and works to gain members’ acceptance of products.
      • Uses web messaging system to professionally communicate with members on loan statuses, Answers outstanding questions regarding loan application requests and provides detailed information regarding loan decisions.
      • Obtains information from members to aid in completing loan decision or closing, including identification documents and other requirement noted by loan analysts.
      • Reviews loan decisions in order to understand what is necessary to communicate with members and appropriately route the loan application for next steps.
      • Facilitates credit card sponsorship program by working with sponsored credit unions’ members to fulfill requests.
      • Provides support to members and front office regarding existing government and private student loans.
      • Verifies member identity due to receipt of any fraud alerts associated with an authorized credit bureau pull due to a loan application request.
      • Provides guidance and coaching to front line staff regarding loan decisions, document verification for loan requests, and information on credit union products and services.
      • Attends job-specific training classes as requested by manager. Completes annual BSA/AML compliance training and understands employee’s role in maintaining an effective BSA/AML compliance program, and completes FACT Act Red Flag training.

      Qualifications

      • High school diploma or equivalent.
      • 3 or more years previous work experience in a financial institution, preferable in lending.
      • Able to prioritize tasks, deal effectively with competing and changing priorities, and meet deadlines. Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized. Able to resolve problems and situations that may require minor adjustments to working methods.
      • Good knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance necessary to successfully perform job responsibilities.
      • Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills in order to interact professionally and effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators. Able to communicate information that requires explanation or interpretation.
      • Works under moderate supervision.
