      Containment and Ventilation Engineer

      GSK are recruiting for a Containment and Ventilation Engineer based at their site in Montrose.

      There is a renewed focus in the containment and ventilation area so not only is this role more visible but there is plenty of scope for creative and innovative ways to drive improvements. An exciting role that will blend technical expertise with matrix management of 3rd parties supporting the role.

      Job Purpose

      The role has a particular emphasis on containment and ventilation systems, working within Engineering to continually improve plant, equipment and maintenance techniques.

      Implementation of optimal standard practice techniques and exploiting new engineering technologies.

      Development, review, update and implementation of relevant Engineering standards (GES’s, LSOP’s) and regulatory standards.

      Delivery of Containment Engineering and HVAC inspection services to support the site’s strategic role as a global supplier. Prioritising and planning own activities to achieve a 100% adherence to schedule metric for Containment and HVAC inspection.

      In this role you will…

      • Ensure all relevant systems are compliant to current regulatory standards with the authority to make critical usage decisions and communicate non-compliances to stakeholders.
      • Provide a problem-solving / troubleshooting service for everyday operation of the various containment and HVAC systems on the Montrose site. Carry out failure investigation and recommend improvements in design or maintenance activities.
      • Manage third party service providers during major shutdown maintenance, room validations, site surveys and routine testing / maintenance.
      • Provide onsite capability to identify and propose improvements in existing systems to suit new or changing process requirements, ensuring that changes to plant are made via appropriate change control procedures. This also includes delivery of Plant Modifications in the fields of containment and HVAC.
      • Ensure compliance with Company standards relating to statutory, health and safety, COSHH, quality and regulatory obligations.
      • Create routine reports regarding observations and proposals for improving the maintenance and performance of ventilation systems.
      • Ensure all documentation associated with the containment and HVAC systems on site are correct, controlled and archived to a suitable standard to meet our legal and regulatory requirements.
      • Carry out data gathering and analysis of filters and consumables on site considering their rating and stock levels making sure that all the data is accurate and available.
      • Co-ordinate with planners and building owners to ensure that all the maintenance activities are completed in a timely manner, balancing workload and plant availability.
      • Conduct and participate in Engineering audits and self-inspections.

      • Operating knowledge of containment and HVAC testing and monitoring equipment
