What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct research and quality assurance for new medical policies and analyze current policies
- Collaborate with coding and claims processing teams to develop clinical coding policies
- Write business logic for new rules and enhancements based on industry references
- Provide input during grooming sessions with developers and system architects
- Perform analytics for data and report analysis with minimal direction
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Pharmacy (BSPharm or PharmD), or equivalent
- Willingness to obtain relevant certifications (RHIA, RHIT, CPC, etc.) within one year of employment
- Minimum of 3 years in a clinical or retail setting as a nurse, pharmacist, or physician, or 3 years in clinical coding
- At least 5 years of experience in rule requirement gathering, rule development, and software enhancement collaboration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong analytical skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in Behavioral Health and/or Laboratory payment integrity rule development
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
