What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct secondary reviews of invoices to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency before submission.
- Train Contract Representatives according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform quality assurance checks and provide coaching and feedback as needed.
- Serve as a secondary contact for assigned customers, ensuring effective communication and support.
- Maintain accurate records related to invoices, billing, and reporting, while managing inbound and outbound communications.
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in medical billing, with knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid preferred.
- Ability to learn quickly and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office applications with intermediate to advanced skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in grammar and punctuation.
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate degree or technical certification in medical billing.
- General understanding of ambulance billing and service levels.
- Familiarity with CMS DRG/PPS guidelines and contract comprehension.
- Ability to type 45 wpm and perform 10-key by touch.
- Reliable, team-oriented attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
