What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Write, edit, and execute consultant contracts, amendments, and work authorization assignments in collaboration with project managers
- Manage the dedicated invoice inbox and ensure compliance with contract terms and policies
- Review and log invoices, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and the City's prompt pay initiative
- Serve as a subject matter expert on consultant service pricing and provide guidance to project managers throughout the contracting process
- Support diversity initiatives by promoting the City’s Women- and Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (WMBE) and Federal Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) programs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, finance, economics, English, or a similar field
- Two (2) or more years of professional experience in contract administration, grant administration, or related work
- Ability to manage multiple contracts and tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills to explain processes clearly
- Familiarity with government records retention requirements and contracting policies
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience with public sector contracts and knowledge of government agency regulations
- Demonstrated ability to provide customer service and assist others in navigating complex processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Adobe Sign
- Experience working in a multi-cultural workplace and with a diverse customer base
- Strategies for staying organized and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
