Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for children and staff.
Keep an accurate inventory of supplies and place orders as needed.
Manage all aspects of prepping and preparing meals, as well as cleaning and complying with sanitation requirements.
Work with the other kitchen team member to complete all required tasks
At least 18 years of age with a high school degree or GED required
Relevant experience working in a licensed child care center, public school, or commercial kitchen required
Food service/food handler permit or license according to state/local regulations required

Child Care Center Cook
Bring your cooking talents and kitchen management skills as a Cook at Bright Horizons at USC. You’ll plan menus, prepare meals, and order inventory as you make a real difference in the lives of children, families, and staff. Enjoy an early, weekday schedule - 6:30am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires the employee to comply with all applicable federal, state, local, Bright Horizons’, and client site requirements concerning immunizations, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training. If hired, you will work in person in an early education/preschool child care center to provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery and services per Bright Horizons’ policies, procedures and guidance, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations, and in a manner that will ensure the safety of children in Bright Horizons care and the employee.

Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $14.50 and $19.25 per hour. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
