Job Description
- Req#: 13405
- Prioritize, organize and schedule appointments, committee meetings, deadlines, etc.
- Minute taking during meetings
- Reviewing and maintaining committee budget
- Ensure the appropriate handling of mail, requests, reports and documents
- Organize and maintaining appropriate reports, files, systems and documentation and actively managing a follow-up system to ensure work proceeds in smooth fashion
- Draft routine correspondence
- Research and respond to requests
- Organize meeting logistics for steering committee and task force meetings, , special events at internal and external sites
- Support special projects and coordinating special events
- Provide updates for Building Safer Communities Fund web-site and responding to inquiries from the bscf@peelregion.ca email address
- Support project and financial reporting
- College diploma in a related field (Health and/or Human Services) with at least three (3) years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail including research, investigative, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner within a collaborative team environment
- Excellent verbal communication skills to interact effectively with management, staff and clients
- Strong written skills needed for minute taking and to draft correspondence
- Effective time management and organizational skills and the ability to deal with shifting/changing priorities and competing

Status: (1) Contract Full-Time position – Until December 31st, 2024
Salary Range: $53,110.00 - $66,389.00 (plus comprehensive benefits)

Hours of work: 35 hour/week
Provide administrative support services and work cooperatively with the Building Safer Communities Fund Steering Committee and others to ensure a coordinated and cohesive approach to administrative matters.

Work Mode & Job Location: at 7120 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, ON
In this role you will have the ability to work mostly remote. You will be required to occasionally attend on-site meetings based on operational requirements at the 7120 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, ON worksite. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario.
