      Essential Duties—Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

      • Participate in the development, planning, implementation, and administration of goals and objectives, as well as policies and procedures related to testing and record keeping.

      • Coordinate assigned activities with the Dean of College & Career Readiness Coordinators, faculty, and staff.

      • Assist Assessment Retention Specialist with LEIS annual reporting.

      • Ensure information from NCCCS regarding to LEIS reports relayed to Assessment Retention Specialist in a timely manner.

      • Oversee that all LEIS patches from NCCCS for CCR are tested and approval to download into Datatel is given to appropriate staff.

      • Assist Assessment Retention Specialist with troubleshooting LEIS annual report when necessary.

      • Ensure Assessment Retention Specialist submits LEIS annual reports by determined deadlines set by the NCCCS.

      • Generate reports necessary for evaluating program progress (weekly, monthly, or quarterly).

      • Conduct testing research to provide statistical data relating to the potential for program and academic success.

      • Confer with and provide staff assistance and advice to higher level management staff; develop, prepare, and present recommendations and reports as requested.

      • Provide faculty and staff the testing policies and procedures when preparing students for testing.

      • Administer the TABE/CASAS in accordance with administration documentation.

      • Score and report the TABE/CASAS results in a timely manner.

      • Provide a positive testing climate which includes encouragement of students to perform at the highest level and de-emphasizes intimidation and fear.

      • Collaborate with the Dean of College & Career Readiness, Program Coordinators, and faculty in preparing a schedule and information for student testing.

      • Maintain computer hardware and software necessary to run the Testing Office in an effective and efficient manner.

      • Follow guidelines set forth by the North Carolina Community College System Office for purging of student records.

      • Assist with the scheduling and staffing for all tests given in the program/concentration area, including monitoring of testing locations.

      • Provide written input on the evaluation of staff assigned within the department, as deemed appropriate by the Dean.

      • Coordinate and assist in the maintenance and security of all testing materials, equipment, and student records as appropriate.

      • Submit a Personal and Professional Development Plan on an annual basis and ensure faculty assigned to the program/concentration also provide a well-thought out plan.

      • Resolve complaints or problems among faculty, staff, and students within the program/ concentration area and advise of potential escalation of problems.

      • Perform record keeping principles and procedures.

      • Adhere to laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to the maintenance of student records and the release of confidential information.

      • Coordinate the review and evaluation for completeness of files and records; request information as needed.

      • Perform other duties as assigned.
