What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage all scheduled and unscheduled procedures, admissions, and appointments
- Validate and capture patient demographic data to ensure accuracy in the system
- Triage appointments based on diagnosis, patient preferences, and physician specialty
- Coordinate services and provide instructions as requested by patients and physicians
- Act as a liaison with the admitting office regarding hospital reservations and updates
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years related experience in patient registration, billing, or scheduling, or 3 years of customer service concierge experience
- Working knowledge of computerized scheduling systems and patient billing processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel applications
- Knowledge of PC-based systems and software
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology and/or CPT/ICD coding
