    • Maintain accurate personnel files and staff records.
    • Support the hiring process: post vacancies, onboard new employees, and process necessary forms.
    • Track licensure renewals and compliance requirements.
    • Prepare staff contracts and benefits information.
    • Review timekeeping systems for payroll processing.
    • Assist with accounts payable data entry and student account tracking.
    • Process deposits, donations, and field trip cash allocations.
    • Create salary spreadsheets for wage negotiations.
    • Maintain proficiency with data systems such as Red Rover, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, Google Workspace, Frontline, and School ERP Pro.
    • Provide support for data entry, recordkeeping, and general office technology.
    • Assist with postage, mailing, and document distribution.
    • Prepare and submit required state and ISBE reports.
    • Maintain records of staff development and mandated training.
    • Communicate professionally with staff, parents, and community partners.
    • Keep calendars, lists and organizational records current.
    • Education: High school diploma plus two years of college (preferred). Equivalent office/HR experience may be substituted.
    • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar support role preferred.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
    • Comfortable working independently while supporting a collaborative team.
    • Proficient in payroll, bookkeeping, and Microsoft/Google applications.
    • Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
    • School-based setting with staff, students, and families.
    • Moderate noise level with occasional outdoor duties.
    • Duties may take place in classrooms, offices, cafeterias, gymnasiums, or other school spaces.
    • Perform basic math and present information clearly to others.
    • Understand and follow multi-step written and oral instructions.
    • Schedule activities and meetings effectively.
    • Stay attentive to detail, meet deadlines, and collaborate as part of a team.
    • Regularly stand, walk, talk, and hear; occasionally sit, stoop, or crouch.
    • Lift and/or move up to 30 pounds as needed.
    • Use vision abilities including close, distance, color, and depth perception.

      Position Overview
      The Business Manager provides essential support in human resources, finance, technology, and daily office operations. Reporting to the Executive Director and Special Education Principal, this role helps ensure smooth, efficient processes that make a positive impact on staff and students.
      Key Responsibilities
      Human Resources Support
      • Update the Employee and Parent Handbooks.
      • Maintain accurate personnel files and staff records.
