  CORE: Deployment Lead for SAP S/4HANA Implementation (m/f/d)

  We are seeking an experienced Deployment Lead for our cross-functional and cross-divisional business-led and IT-enabled program CORE. We aim to power the future by simplifying the way Bayer steers and performs its business and bringing it closer to the customer. Our focus in the program are E2E processes with a SAP S/4HANA implementation. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the deployment of our newly created S/4HANA template in various countries and regions, ensuring that it is tailored to meet local requirements, including regulatory specifications.

  YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the deployment plan, ensuring progress tracking and quality assurance
  • Shape the future deployment organization
  • Ensure a common approach for organization, preparation and go-live across all divisions and regions
  • Prepare and manage day 1 readiness, including change management and risk mitigation
  • Lead the roll-out of our global process, system, and data landscape in alignment with global governance, which includes:
    • Assessing readiness for countries before going live
    • Ensuring the deployment scope is finalized and integrated (process and applications, including satellites)
    • Tracking and reporting status on fit to standard workshops, GAP identification, and closure
    • Managing cutover preparation and execution, including data management, validation and tracking of all relevant KPIs, e.g., training status
    • Oversight of testing and defect resolution
    • Managing hypercare progress and handover to run organization
  • Collaborate closely within Bayer and partner organizations
  • Support transition from project to future operations organization

  
  WHO YOU ARE

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, PhD is a plus
  • Experience of multiple SAP deployments with high complexity (e.g., several countries in parallel) in a leading role
  • Experience in global SAP-enabled transformation programs, specifically managing change adoption and coordinating IT and business functions in a template rollout
  • Strong leadership, project management skills, methodological competence and excellent organizational capabilities
  • Ability to balance mid-term strategic goals and operational priorities, coupled with a hands-on mentality
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities within cross-functional, global teams
  • Experience with agile methodologies, e.g., SAFe (optional but beneficial)
  • Willingness to travel more than 40%
  • Fluent English language skills
