What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Operate accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial information accurately
- Compile statistical and financial reports related to cash receipts, accounts payable, and profits and losses
- Reconcile discrepancies in financial records and ensure compliance with company policies
- Perform general office duties, including filing, answering phones, and handling correspondence
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide complete and accurate accounting solutions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 3-5 years of experience in business/intermediate accounting within a freight forwarding or 3PL organization
- Industry-related degree and/or certification
- Proficient in accounting software and spreadsheet applications
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and data analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of transportation principles and methods for moving goods
- Experience with compliance and regulatory requirements in the logistics industry
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain software
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks efficiently
