Job Description

- Identify and analyse businesses within a defined sector and region to determine appropriate acquisition target candidates based on specific company characteristics.
- Develop and conduct prospecting campaigns to attract potential acquisition targets and identify interesting technology businesses through email, outbound calling, attendance at trade shows and conferences.
- Lead conversations towards the signing of NDAs, obtaining operational data, and initiating M&A conversations.
- Build professional and personable relationships with acquisition targets (inc. C-Suite or business owner), communicating Modaxo’s unique combination of people transportation focus and buy-and-hold forever acquisition methodology.
- Continually manage, maintain, and develop our Salesforce CRM proprietary database of acquisition targets and contacts to build a future pipeline of potential acquisition targets.
- Previous M&A experience (particularly deal origination)
- Interest in software technology / business particularly “SaaS”
- Energetic, personable, driven, self-motivated and results oriented.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills with the ability and confidence to initiate and develop relationships with senior executives, lawyers, brokers, and investment bankers, and build relationships with these individuals.
- Strong data management (e.g. Salesforce CSRM tools) & analysis skills
- Strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to flex personal style to adapt to different personalities.
- Fluency in French and English is essential; Dutch or German desirable

We require a Corporate Business Developer to focus mainly on France and the Benelux region as part of our European M&A team. Reporting to the M&A Business Development Manager, you will work closely with our EMEA Leadership, Business Unit Leaders and the EMEA M&A team to identify and drive potential opportunities for acquisition.
This is a full-time, fully remote role focusing on France and the Benelux region. It would be ideally suited to someone already based in these regions, with the ability to travel regularly. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building, and maintaining relationships with clients and partners, and developing and implementing growth strategies. Key elements:
