What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure accurate acuity and severity capture for optimal reimbursement in accordance with coding and billing regulations
- Track and audit Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) performance while maintaining dashboards and analyzing data
- Deliver written and verbal reports of findings to CDI Leadership and corporate operations staff as required
- Educate and communicate findings effectively to various levels within the organization
- Manage projects and timelines with a high level of organizational skills
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, AHIMA accredited school, or International School of Medicine
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare-related field with strong clinical expertise
- Ability to travel nationally up to 50%
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills to work with professionals at all organizational levels
- Ability to balance multiple deadlines effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, health information management, or a healthcare-related field
- Previous leadership experience in a time-sensitive environment
- Certification as CCDS, CDIP, or CCS
