What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure accurate acuity and severity capture to optimize reimbursement for the employer's hospitals
- Track and audit CDI performance, creating reports and maintaining dashboards
- Analyze data and monitor Key Performance Indicators under the direction of CDI leadership
- Deliver written and verbal reports of findings to CDI Leadership and corporate operations staff
- Maintain a solid understanding of CMS and payer coding guidelines
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, AHIMA accredited school, or an international school of Medicine
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare-related field with strong clinical expertise
- Ability to travel nationally up to 50%, with a valid Motor Vehicle Record check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with professionals at all organizational levels
- Proven ability to manage projects and timelines effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Health Information Management, or a healthcare-related field
- Previous leadership experience with the ability to work effectively in time-sensitive environments
- Certifications such as CCDS, CDIP, or CCS
