What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Independently oversee complex and high exposure workers' compensation claims, developing actionable resolution strategies
- Manage reinsurance reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate communication with external partners and internal teams
- Conduct regulatory and internal claim audits to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Provide guidance on Medicare set-aside agreements and assist in litigation management as needed
- Maintain active knowledge of assigned caseload and present findings to senior executives at loss meetings
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience handling Workers' Compensation Insurance claims
- Proficiency in managing catastrophic and large loss exposure claims
- Experience in litigation resolution, including Medicare set-aside agreements
- Advanced level of computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Supervisory, director, or Claims Manager experience
- Multi-state experience in Workers' Compensation laws
- Enrollment or completion in a leadership or technical structured training course
- Certification such as AIC, ARM, or CPCU
