What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide legal advice and counsel to various internal functions, drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Lead due diligence review, negotiation, and documentation of mergers and acquisitions
- Assist the Deputy General Counsel and General Counsel in resolving legal issues and maintaining compliance with legal requirements
- Develop and implement global legal strategies related to commercial activities
- Provide timely legal advice to executives and senior management on laws, regulations, and company policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- 5-10 years of experience as an attorney in corporate and transactional law
- Must be a member in good standing of a state bar
- Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry preferred
- Advanced writing, communication, and research skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in electronic-based legal research tools such as LEXIS/Westlaw
- Familiarity with MS Office, including Excel
- Previous supervisory experience of attorneys or legal support staff
